I come from the small town of Shostka, which is only 60 km. of the aggressor's country. I'm studying at university now, I'm in my last year, but due to the war there are only online lectures. I didn't want to leave my homeland until the last moment. When I dared to go to the Netherlands, I was first accommodated in the Nescio hotel, which was set up for Ukrainians.

I was very impressed by the attitude of the Dutch towards the Ukrainians. It is not possible for me to express in words how nice it is when you are welcome. Later I was given the opportunity to move to the center of Groningen. I am very grateful to the Dutch for welcoming every Ukrainian with a hug – that is invaluable!
