Seeing a smile on someone's face, when we know there isn't much to smile about. 'Doing something' with which we contribute to alleviating suffering. That's what matters to me. Just being human with each other.
A day after the invasion, I thought I wanted to do something. In a local newspaper I saw that a logistics line ran deep into Ukraine via Groningen. I reached out and on March 2 we organized a first fundraising campaign at VV Haren. That's how it started. A growing group of people join (sometimes) and contribute something.
It is my honor to steer things in the right direction, to bring supply and demand together and to connect people.
