What I find so strong about the Social Brigade is that it is a constant starting point that the Ukrainians need.
Language lessons were a first need and I kept myself busy with the children so that their parents could learn the Dutch language. I myself thought it was a special experience to have a nice evening with games, crafts and jokes, despite the language barrier between the children and myself.
As a single mother I don't have much time, but you can always do something to make the world a better place.
