Without preparation at home, tight organization or boring meetings: just get to work on Thursday evening. In small groups we practice words, short sentences, try to understand each other with hands and feet. Otherwise there is always the app Sayhi, or English (there is almost always someone from the Ukrainians who speaks this well enough). My 'students' are very motivated, and really put their other worries aside in those 1.5 hours to learn as much as possible. There is more laughter than complaining
