These young ladies and gentlemen performed during the festive opening of the Dining Room and the kitchen in the Nescio building in Haren.
These young people (14 - 16 years old) had not been home in Odesa for three or four months at the time of this performance. They were in France for performances and would fly back on February 26.
This fell through and they were 'stuck' in France.
Via the Netherlands they went back home by bus to their parents and brothers and sisters. Their visit to Groningen was their last performance before they traveled on.
One of our volunteers has been out with them all day guiding them through their program. This day had made a great impression on him. "If only you were in their shoes..."
They deserve such respect that they 'perform' with a smile during the performance as if their house is not on fire.
Hopefully they are all fine and safe in Odesa, or wherever they are now.
